Pramath Kiran

Pramath Kiran belongs to a new generation of artists who believes in enriching India's rich culture and heritage through this divine art form.

He is a musician and percussionist who believes in creating intricate rhythm patterns that blend contemporary as well as traditional music. Being a trained musician , he has an added advantage to understand the music better and contribute to its class by his innovative patterns .

He started learning Carnatic vocal under Guru Smt .Vijayalakshmi at a young age of eight .But later percussions grabbed his attention and changed his course of life and since then he has been pursuing it seriously as a career. He had his initial training as a tabla player under the famous musician and a percussionist Shri . Raju Ananthaswamy . With him , he has performed extensively all over India which were very well received .

Pramath , further continued his training under the renowned tabla maestro Vidwan Shri Uday Raj Karpoor . He also has undergone rigorous training in playing the morching ( Jewish Harp ) under the able guidance of Guru Vidwan Shri Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma , who is a multi faceted percussionist . He graced Pramath through his finest skills in Carnatic music and taught him the delicacy of accompaniment .

Pramath has had the privilege to perform extensively in all the major festivals throughout India . He also has the credit of having accompanied most of the famous musicians.

Apart from being a percussionist, Pramath Kiran is a graphic engineer who has designed many websites, layatharanga .com being one of them. He has composed and sequenced contemporary music and rhythm programming for many jazz and world music productions. This has in turn helped him mould and explore new horizons and carve a niche for himself as a multifaceted percussionist.
